Before the wedding...

Leamington Spa pre-wedding shoot

Before their wedding at Lapstone Barn, we met in Leamington Spa for their pre-wedding shoot, which made such a difference. It gave us the chance to get to know each other properly and meant that by the time the wedding day arrived, everything felt easy and natural.

That familiarity always shows in the photos. Nothing feels forced, and it allows the day to unfold naturally without needing to interrupt or over-direct anything.

Lapstone Barn Wedding in the Cotswolds | Hannah & Josh’s Intimate Spring Celebration

Hannah and Josh’s Lapstone Barn wedding in the Cotswolds was one of those days that felt personal from the very beginning. With just 60 of their closest family and friends, everything about it was relaxed, meaningful, and completely centred around the people who matter most.

A relaxed Lapstone Barn wedding in the Cotswolds

The spring weather in the Cotswolds couldn’t have been better — soft light, warm sunshine, and the perfect conditions for making the most of everything Lapstone Barn has to offer. After the ceremony, guests gathered in the courtyard, which is ideal for relaxed drinks and candid moments, and one of the best spots at Lapstone Barn for natural wedding photography.

One of the things that makes a Lapstone Barn wedding so special is how well the space flows. From the ceremony barn to the courtyard and surrounding countryside, it gives plenty of opportunity for real moments to unfold without anything feeling rushed or staged.

As a Cotswolds wedding photographer, venues like Lapstone Barn are always a favourite to work at. The clean, open spaces and beautiful natural light make it perfect for capturing honest, unposed moments — exactly how Hannah and Josh wanted their day to be remembered.

Natural wedding photography at Lapstone Barn

If you’re planning your own wedding at Lapstone Barn, or searching for a Cotswolds wedding photographer who takes a natural, relaxed approach, I’d love to hear what you’re envisioning for your day.

Whether you’re in the early stages of planning or already have everything coming together, I’m always happy to chat through ideas, timings, and how the day might flow — especially if you’re considering a more intimate celebration like Hannah and Josh’s. Having photographed weddings at Lapstone Barn and across the Cotswolds, I can also offer guidance on how to make the most of the space, the light, and those quieter moments that often end up meaning the most.

My approach is always about keeping things simple and unobtrusive, so you can focus on enjoying the day while I capture it as it naturally unfolds. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch — I’d love to hear more about your plans and see if I’d be a good fit for your wedding.

Review from H + J

Scarlett,

I honestly don’t even know where to begin thank you just doesn’t feel like enough for everything you did for us.

From the moment you arrived, you brought such a calm, warm presence to our day. You made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera, and somehow managed to make every moment feel so natural and special.

I also just wanted to say how incredible you are for everything you balanced behind the scenes. As a mum myself, I know how much that takes, and the way you showed up fully for us while still being there for your little one is just amazing. You really are a super mum smashing both mum life and your work in a way that’s so inspiring.

You went so far above and beyond for us, in ways we’ll always remember, and we truly can’t put into words how grateful we are. These memories mean everything to us, and you captured them so beautifully.

We feel so lucky to have had you as our photographer ❤️

With thanks to my trusted friend and amazing second shooter, Alex Bradbury Photography.
