A Relaxed Country Wedding at Curradine Barns
Curradine Barns has to be one of my favourite venues to photograph – it has such a warm, relaxed atmosphere that suits my style of wedding photography perfectly. Set in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside, the barns are full of rustic charm, gorgeous light, and so many beautiful backdrops for photos.
For me, wedding photography is all about capturing natural, genuine emotions. I love my couples to feel completely at ease in front of the camera so that their personalities shine through.
Curradine Barns lends itself to that relaxed approach – from the cosy courtyards to the rolling fields, everything about the venue encourages a laid-back celebration where couples and guests can just be themselves.
At this recent wedding, I focused on those little candid moments that mean the most – the laughter during the drinks reception, the tears during the speeches, and those quiet, in-between moments that you might not even notice on the day but will treasure forever.
I always encourage my couples to forget about the camera and just enjoy being together, which is when the most genuine photographs happen.
Curradine Barns is the perfect backdrop for this relaxed approach – the rustic charm of the barns and the stunning countryside make it easy to capture portraits that feel natural and timeless. We made the most of the setting with some gorgeous couple shots around the barns and out in the fields as the sun began to set, which gave us that beautiful golden light every photographer dreams of.

As the day moved into the evening, we made the most of golden hour – my absolute favourite time to step away for a few relaxed portraits.
Curradine Barns is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and it’s always lovely to wander just beyond the venue to where the fields open up. The access to a wheat field is a real highlight here, especially as the sun dips low and the golden light pours across it, making the whole scene glow.
It’s such a peaceful moment for couples to slow down together, away from the buzz of the celebrations, and the photos always end up feeling so natural and full of warmth.
