Relaxed, Natural Wedding Photography for Real, Genuine Moments.
Feeling Camera-Shy? You’re Not Alone — And It Doesn’t Have to Show in Your Photos
Most couples tell me before the wedding that they’re “awkward in photos” or “don’t know how to pose.”
But time and time again, after their gallery arrives, they say something completely different:
That they felt relaxed… confident… even empowered in front of the camera.
And that’s exactly how it should be.
Your wedding day is about connection, emotion, and celebrating your story — not stiff posing or worrying about how you look.
1. My Approach: Calm, Reassuring & Completely Unforced
A huge part of feeling comfortable comes down to the person behind the camera.
I’ve always believed that great portrait moments happen when you feel safe, understood, and free to be yourselves.
I actually have a qualification in counselling and previously worked with children experiencing mental health challenges — something that has shaped the way I work more than anything else.
I’ve developed a very calm, patient presence, and I bring this into every wedding I photograph. My aim is to help you feel grounded, relaxed, and totally yourself.
I’m not here to force poses or make you perform for the camera.
I’m here to gently guide you so you feel confident, natural, and genuinely connected.

2. You Don’t Need to Know How to Pose — That’s My Job
Most couples assume they need to pose a certain way for beautiful images… but honestly, you don’t.
I’ll guide you with simple, natural prompts that never feel stiff or staged. You won’t ever be left wondering what to do with your hands or whether you’re standing “right.”
Instead, you’ll be chatting, laughing, moving, holding hands — things you already do beautifully.
The result? Images that feel true to you.

3. Movement Helps You Forget the Camera Is There
Movement is the biggest confidence booster.
I might ask you to:
- Walk together
- Whisper something sweet or silly
- Hold each other close
- Slow dance under the trees
- Play with your dress or jacket
These tiny actions create the beautiful, in-between moments that feel so heartfelt and real.
4. Focus on Each Other — Not the Lens
Your attention should never be on me.
I want you to be completely wrapped up in one another — and when that happens, the camera becomes invisible.
Your expressions soften.
Your shoulders drop.
Your real selves shine through.
Those are the moments that make the magic.
5. A Quiet Moment Together Makes All the Difference
Your couple portraits often end up being one of the only times during the day that the two of you have space to breathe.
Stepping away from the noise creates a calm, private bubble where you can simply enjoy each other — and that’s when the most authentic images happen.
6. It’s Okay to Feel Nervous — You Won’t Stay That Way
Even if you feel tense at the start, the nerves fade so much quicker than you expect.
Once we start moving, chatting, and easing into the rhythm of the day, you’ll settle in beautifully. I promise.
By the time you receive your gallery, you’ll look at the images and think:
“Wow… that’s us.”
