Stratford-upon-Avon is such a beautiful place to get married — full of character, countryside charm and romantic spots that are a dream to photograph. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing weddings at some lovely venues in the area, so I thought I’d share a few of my favourites (and why I love them from a photographer’s point of view!).
Each venue has its own unique vibe, whether you’re planning something grand, intimate or somewhere in between, there’s something here for everyone.
Ettington Park Hotel
This place is pure drama — in the best possible way. With its stunning neo-gothic architecture, stained glass windows and grand interiors, Ettington Park Hotel has that wow-factor without feeling too formal. The surrounding grounds are just magical at golden hour.
Why I love it: Gorgeous light, moody romance, and an epic backdrop that photographs beautifully every time.

Billesley Manor
Tucked away just outside Stratford, Billesley Manor has a calming charm. The landscaped gardens are perfect for portraits, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming from start to finish.
Why I love it: Relaxed, timeless, and surrounded by nature — it has a softness that’s ideal for romantic photos.

The Henley Rooms (Registry Office)
If you’re planning a smaller or more intimate wedding, the Henley Room is a great choice. Right in the centre of town, it gives you the perfect mix of a low-key ceremony with stunning nearby locations for couple portraits.
Why I love it: Simple, sweet, and full of personality — plus you’re steps away from some of Stratford’s most scenic spots.

Walton Hall
With its grand manor, peaceful lakes and rolling countryside, Walton Hall is the kind of venue that has it all. It feels spacious but intimate, elegant but relaxed — the perfect balance.
Why I love it: The grounds are beautiful in every season, and the variety of backdrops makes it a dream to shoot.

The Welcombe Hotel
A striking venue with classic elegance and views across the countryside, the Welcombe Hotel offers timeless style with a modern twist. The interior light is stunning, and there are so many beautiful corners both inside and out.
Why I love it: Big windows, beautiful gardens and that classic feel — it’s a real showstopper.
