If you're planning your wedding at Hyde House in the Cotswolds, you've chosen such a beautiful venue!
Nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside, just outside Stow-on-the-Wold, Hyde House is one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph. With its beautiful gardens, light-filled spaces and relaxed atmosphere, it's the perfect setting for a wedding day that feels both elegant and personal.
Having photographed weddings at Hyde House, I know just how many wonderful opportunities there are for natural, timeless wedding photography. From the excitement of morning preparations to those quiet moments together as newlyweds, it's a venue that lends itself beautifully to capturing genuine emotions and all the little moments in between.
Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Hyde House
There are so many reasons why I love returning to Hyde House for weddings! First of all, there's that beautiful, iconic Cotswold stone building, which makes such a gorgeous backdrop for photographs.
The getting-ready room is another favourite of mine. It's wonderfully spacious, light and airy, with plenty of natural light, which is always a dream for photography. I also love the contrast between the elegant surroundings and the rustic charm of the barn where couples exchange their vows.
Outside, there's so much space to explore, making it perfect for relaxed couple portraits and family photographs without having to venture far from your guests.
And then there's the golden hour! On a clear evening, the light falling across the rolling Cotswold hills is absolutely incredible. It's one of my favourite times to sneak couples away for a few romantic portraits as the sun begins to set.
Getting Ready at Hyde House
One of my favourite spaces at Hyde House is the beautiful getting-ready room. It's wonderfully spacious, light and airy, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light — an absolute dream for wedding photography!
There's plenty of room for you and your favourite people to get ready together without feeling cramped, making the whole morning feel lovely and relaxed.
I particularly love capturing all those little moments during morning preparations, from the finishing touches of hair and makeup to the excitement of getting into your dress and those emotional first looks with family and friends. It's such a special part of the day, and the gorgeous natural light makes it even better for photographs.
Wedding Ceremonies at Hyde House
There's something so lovely about the rustic charm of The Grange at Hyde House. With its beautiful exposed wooden beams, neutral tones and natural light, it's a gorgeous setting to exchange your vows. I particularly love how intimate and romantic the space feels, making it perfect for capturing all those genuine emotions during the ceremony.
Romantic Couple Portraits & Golden Hour at Hyde House
One of the things I love most about Hyde House is the beautiful outdoor space. There are so many gorgeous spots for relaxed, romantic couple portraits, with the iconic Cotswold stone building and surrounding countryside providing the perfect backdrops.
