My Favourite Wedding Venues in the Cotswolds – Relaxed & Romantic Locations You'll Love.
By Scarlett Shellis Photography
The Cotswolds is full of charm — with rolling countryside, honey-coloured stone buildings and so many stunning wedding venues. Whether you're dreaming of an elegant barn wedding or something more intimate and stylish, there’s something here for everyone.
Here are a few of my favourite Cotswolds wedding venues to photograph — all beautiful in their own way and perfect for relaxed, romantic celebrations.

Blackwell Grange
Blackwell Grange is the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The ceremony barn is light, warm and full of character, while the Orchard Barn has stunning natural light for dining and dancing.
From the picturesque gardens to the atmospheric grain store, there are so many dreamy backdrops for your portraits.
Top photography moments: Golden hour in the fields, confetti exit by the barn doors, couple shots by the wooden gates.

Norton Grounds
Set on a private estate with a relaxed countryside feel, Norton Grounds is ideal for couples looking for something personal and beautifully understated. The grounds are full of natural beauty — open fields, a historic barn and rustic farm buildings.
It’s a blank canvas venue with loads of flexibility, and the light here at golden hour is just magic.
Top photography moments: Outdoor ceremonies, candid couple portraits in the wildflower meadows, and relaxed group shots by the stables.
📍 Near Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire

Hyde House
Stylish, spacious and thoughtfully designed — Hyde House is a photographer’s dream. The Grange (ceremony barn) is full of soft light, while the barn for the reception feels cosy but modern.
Everything is beautifully styled but still feels relaxed and welcoming — perfect for natural storytelling photography.
Top photography moments: Bridal prep in the gorgeous getting-ready suite, heartfelt ceremonies in the Grange, and epic golden hour portraits on the lawn.
📍 Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire

Lapstone Barn
Lapstone Barn has a beautiful blend of traditional Cotswold stone and a bright, airy interior. It’s peaceful and private, surrounded by fields and big skies — ideal for romantic and natural portraits.
Everything flows really well here, with space for prep, ceremony and reception all in one place.
Top photography moments: Couple portraits under the oak tree, wide countryside backdrops, and dancing in the twinkly-lit barn.
📍 Near Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire

If you're planning your wedding in the Cotswolds and want relaxed, natural photography with a touch of editorial elegance — I’d love to hear more about your plans!
Whether you're tying the knot at one of these venues or somewhere new, I'm always excited to capture the magic.
