When most couples start planning their wedding, they spend months or even years organising every detail. For these two, things happened a little differently...

Just one month before their wedding date, I received an email from a couple who had been invited to Royal Ascot. Rather than simply travelling to the event, they decided to make the journey even more memorable by stopping halfway and getting married.

Their chosen venue? The beautiful St John's House Registry Office in Warwick.

As a Warwick wedding photographer, I love hearing unique wedding stories, and this one instantly stood out. Their plans were simple, meaningful and completely focused on what mattered most – celebrating their love together.

A Beautiful Warwick Registry Office Wedding

Nestled within the historic grounds of St John's House, Warwick Registry Office offers a stunning setting for intimate weddings and elopements. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and period architecture, it's the perfect location for couples looking for a relaxed and personal ceremony without the fuss of a large wedding day.

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was exactly what they had hoped for: laid-back, joyful and completely stress-free.

They weren't interested in stiff poses or spending hours away from each other for photographs. Instead, they wanted natural wedding photography that captured the genuine emotions, laughter and connection they share. Those are exactly the moments I love documenting.

Natural and Authentic Wedding Photography in Warwick

Their ceremony was intimate, heartfelt and full of smiles. With just the two of them focused entirely on each other, every moment felt genuine and effortless.

After the ceremony, we headed out for a relaxed wander around some of Warwick's most beautiful locations. One of the things I love about photographing weddings in Warwick is how many incredible backdrops can be found within a short walk of the registry office.

We started at St Nicholas Park, where the open green spaces and riverside pathways provided a calm and natural setting for photographs. The couple simply enjoyed spending time together while I documented the moments as they unfolded naturally.

From there, we made our way down to the River Avon, taking advantage of the peaceful surroundings and beautiful light along the water.

Warwick Castle as the Perfect Backdrop

No wedding photography session in Warwick would feel complete without making use of the iconic Warwick Castle.

As we wandered through Warwick's charming cobbled streets, the castle provided an incredible backdrop that added a sense of history and grandeur to their photographs without taking away from the relaxed feel of the day.

Some of my favourite images from the session were captured here. The contrast between the historic architecture, the quiet streets and the couple's carefree energy perfectly reflected the spirit of their wedding day.
