A Summer Wedding at Curradine Barns

A little first look at this beautiful recent wedding at Curradine Barns in Worcestershire.

Set amongst the Worcestershire countryside, Curradine Barns has such a lovely balance of rustic character and a more elegant, contemporary feel. The exposed brick, timber beams and warm light inside the barns made the perfect backdrop for this black-tie celebration.

The morning began with preparations at the venue before everyone gathered in the Granary for the ceremony. Soft pink, white and blue florals looked beautiful against the exposed brick, while candlelight and foliage added to the warm, intimate atmosphere.

One of my favourite things to photograph is everything happening around the main moments — the nerves beforehand, parents seeing their son or daughter ready, little glances between guests and the reactions during the ceremony. There were so many of those moments throughout this day.

And then, of course, that confetti exit! The newlyweds came back down the aisle surrounded by all their favourite people, which made for one of my favourite photographs from their sneak peeks.

Getting Ready at Curradine Barns

Having the preparations take place at the venue meant I could move naturally between both sides of the morning, capturing the anticipation before the ceremony as well as all those quieter moments with family.

I always try to keep this part of the day relaxed. Rather than constantly setting things up for photographs, I’m looking for genuine interactions and beautiful light, stepping in with a little guidance when it’s helpful.

A Ceremony in the Granary

The ceremony space looked incredible dressed with abundant soft florals against the exposed brick. It's one of the things I love about Curradine Barns — it already has so much texture and character that you really don't need to overwhelm it with decoration.

As everyone gathered, I focused just as much on the guests as the couple: parents holding hands, reactions as the bride entered and all the glances and expressions that happen during the ceremony itself.

Natural Wedding Photography at Curradine Barns
